Happiness is a natural state that occurs through having a good disposition, purity, and letting go of contraction, not grasping at it. As an example, it is better to cultivate happiness through an enjoyable walk in nature, working with our body in a friendly way such as yoga, helping a friend, having a good time, doing good work, feeling love for others, being kind and gentle to ourselves and others, calming the mind and letting it rest in the heart, eating the right foods, getting enough sleep, being positive, etc, rather than a concerted effort of “trying” to feel and collect happiness in our hearts.
